Slowly But Surely

So it has been 2 weeks since I last wrote anything, and I just wanted to say that things have been a little slow lately, I haven't been gaining or losing anything. Hopefully I can get that to change by adding a little more exercise now that tennis is over. Yesterday I walked the dogs, and got on my exercise bike. Doing things like these everyday help. Something I am going to try to do is learn to dance. I just had prom over the weekend (I went with my boyfriend) and I can't dance at all. I am too white to dance. So I've resolved myself to learn in the next 3 weeks, because apparently he'll be dragging me out to the dance floor the whole time when we go to his prom. Excited? yes. But nervous? even more so.

Nothing But Progress

Wow so it's been a long time since I've posted anything and thought I would just update this. So much stuff has been happening with school that, well, I forgot about this blog that I told myself I would stick to. That's ok because I am back and ready to keep blogging!
So as an update.
1. I joined my school's tennis team, wich is a hard work out. I mean 4 days a week! it's insane, but sadly the season is just about over. ): I am excited for all the wonderful friends I made, and I can't wait to practice all summer so I will be even better next year.
2. I have reached my long-term goal of 30 pounds! at last! it feels great! I have been using http://www.myfitnesspal.com/ to track my food, and yes, there is an app for it. Just tracking 1200 calories a day helps tremendously. I put the tracker under the progress section of my blog so you can see how I am doing.
3. Inspiration to keep going. Now that I have reached my goal, and half way point, it is hard to stay on track. i have found someone who is willing to give up chocolate to do this with me (: (she's a great friend). Plus, I have found a running partner for this summer, and we will be doing P90x too (biggest challenge yet). I am excited for everything that is going on, and all that will be happening.
4. Birthday cake. So I dread the spring for 2 reasons. one, pollen. Allergies are the worst this time of year which makes it harder to get out and do stuff. Also, birthdays. In my family, most people appened to be born in the spring. Yesterday (March 31st) was my birthday! and I am now officially 17. In less than 2 weeks wil be my sister's birthday, and less than 2 weeks after that is my dad's birthday. that is A LOT of cake. i have a huge sweet-tooth, so I have to learn to have a small piece and that's it. I wish this was the case. Once I have something sweet, I crave sugar for about a week. This is the worst week of my life.
